surround yourself with things you love /

You live with empty walls for ages, then one day you get round to hanging a picture. Instantly your space comes alive. Every time you walk into the room, your heart does a happy little skip. This feels like a space where you belong.

Wall art is one of the most powerful forms of self-expression, and something humans have been doing for millennia. The things you display on your walls can change the mood of a room or tell the stories that matter to you.

Yet still many of us have pictures waiting to be hung, or favourite photos and children’s drawings languishing in a drawer.

In this guide, we’ll tell you everything you need to know about where, and how, to display your art and artefacts. You’ll learn how to create joyous displays of the things you love and bring real personality and individuality to your home.

  • I don’t have lots of expensive paintings, is this course still for me?

Absolutely. Precious means different things to different people, so this guide will be useful whether you are hanging a Picasso or a toddler’s potato painting.

  • Will this guide tell me the best way to hang heavy pieces?

This guide focusses more on how to hang art in an aesthetically pleasing way, but you’ll also find technical advice in the downloadable resources. However, because everybody has different walls we recommend getting heavy or fragile items professionally hung.

  • Do I have to show up at a set time?

No. Once you have downloaded the guide you can access it at any time.

  • How long do I have access to the SmartGuide?

It's yours to enjoy for a whole year! During that time we will be regularly updating the Download sheets as more products come to our attention that we love.
